History of our club.
The Brownsville Community Club has a unique and rich history dating back to 1943. It all started when eleven people organized the Brownsville Community Club. The first President was Dr. R. G. Raymond. The purpose of the club was to plan host recreational activities for the Brownsville area so that the community did not have to rely on traveling to Fond du Lac during the war. The club built and owned the building now known as Dan’s Village Bowl. It was the dream and vision of Dale Michels along with other Village residents who worked side by side with him, to construct a facility in Brownsville for all to enjoy. One that could accommodate a large celebration, wedding or funeral, or any function to be held in our residents own hometown. Through the help of many supporters, along with the resources donated by the Michels family, the Brownsville Community Club became a reality in 1993.
